  • What does Adult Social Care do?

    We work with adults in Devon for whom activities of daily living (because of illness, older age, or a disability) can be difficult. We work with people to live as independently as possible, for as long as possible.

  • Transitions Adult Social Care (TASC) service

    Between the ages of 16 and 18, a child will start a transition to adult services and there is specific support there for you and those who support you.

  • NDTi (National Development Team for Inclusion)

    NDTi have developed a library of support, videos, and practical tools in different areas like employment, education, independent living skills for young people, carers and professionals to use.

  • Stand Up Speak Up

    Devon’s Children in Care Council – we arrange monthly get-togethers for young people aged 10-15. Come along, have fun and voice your opinions and ideas on the services you’ve experienced and the future services you may need or receive.

  • Youth Hub

    Youth Hub Devon works to help young people (aged 16-24) get the right training, support, and guidance for their future.

  • Life skills

    Advice on relationships, money management, budgeting, debt, wills and lasting power of attorney.

  • Care needs assessments

    The assessment will focus on how your needs for care and support impact your wellbeing.

  • Support if you have a disability

    Helping disabled people find information and services to stay healthy, happy and independent

  • Housing options

    From renting, to Devon Home Choice, shared lives, supported living, extra care, up to residential we have listed a number of housing options.

  • Advocacy

    The term ‘advocacy’ describes what a member of the community (an ‘advocate’) is doing when they provide support to a person who may feel vulnerable, isolated or disempowered.

  • Education and employment

    Devon is committed to supporting individuals at all stages in life to learn, develop and enable people to become resilient and lead as normal life as possible.

  • Health and wellbeing

    Keeping well, healthy is something we can all work towards. There is support and help out there to make this possible.

  • Alcohol or drug addiction support

    If you or someone you know has a problem with alcohol or drugs, there’s a wide range of services that can help.

  • Money management

    Managing money is so important and there is support out there to help you if you find yourself in debt, or want to budget or find out what benefits are available.

  • Transport

    From Blue Badges, fare car, bus passes to community transport. There are many ways to get around Devon.

  • Overcoming loneliness

    Loneliness can happen to anyone any age, there are many ways you can break this loneliness and so many groups out there who want to support you. You are not alone!

  • Young carers

    Find support for you if you are a young carer (under 18) caring for an adult or another child.
