Adult social care assurance

We use a range of qualitative and quantitative information to provide assurance to stakeholders that we are meeting our statutory duties relating to adult social care. These include:

  • performance and outcomes
  • quality of practice and provision
  • strategic risk management
  • feedback from stakeholders
  • audit and independent assessment
  • equalities, including of access, experience and outcome

This work informs our:

  • readiness for inspection, assessment, and regulation by the Care Quality Commission
  • involvement in sector-led Improvement including formal peer reviews
  • annual reporting to the Council and the public
  • quarterly reporting to the council including via our Corporate Performance Framework
