Part one:

A Senior Manager came to talk to the Board about the council’s CQC rating and the Local Government Reorganisation being paused. He was invited back to give a further update in February 2027.

Part two:

A Programme Manager from Health Innovation South West came to update the Board. She is working on a project that is looking to reduce the harm of psychotropic medication given to people with learning disabilities. Board members were asked a series of questions that explored improving health care appointments and people feeling more involved in decisions.

Any other Business (AOB):

• A General Manager from DPT gave an update on The Brook now it’s been open a year. The Brook helps autistic people and people with learning disabilities with their mental health.
• The Chair of the Board asked members to send in their ideas for the 2027 agenda.
