Do you look after someone (not in a paid role or a formal volunteer)?
And are you an adult?
If you answer yes to these questions, you may be a carer and there may be support available to you through Devon Carers.
Call Devon Carers on 03456 434 435 or visit the Devon Carers website to find out about the universal free services you can access, including the carers’ newsletter, the Alert Card, local support groups and a Carers assessment.
The assessment will look at your needs as a carer and, if you are eligible for support, we will work with you to create a support plan.
If you are a young carer there is support available to you.
If you are a parent carer there is support available to you.
Support for carers
This short video, produced and designed by Looking Local in collaboration with Walsall Council, introduces the wellbeing of carers and the support available to them. It explains what a carer’s assessment is, where carers can find advice and support, and how this free service can help explore what support may be available.
