Health and Adult Care Scrutiny Committee reviews council services and decisions, JEF members can have a stronger voice in that process. The committee wants to hear people’s experiences and views to help improve services.

The proposed approach is for JEF to receive committee agendas and papers, discuss topics of interest, and provide feedback or reports that can be shared with councillors before meetings, ensuring JEF voices influence scrutiny and decision-making.

What is a Scrutiny Committee?

A group of Councillors who look closely at what a council is doing​

They look at the performance of the council, and how it is spending money​

They help make sure the council listens, learns and improves​

They help the council understand what needs to change​
