Are you looking for equipment that could help you stay independent?

The Independent Living Centre is a free and impartial service where our trained NHS occupational therapists can:

  • assess your needs
  • help you find the best equipment
  • show you how equipment works and help you to try it out
  • explain how you can get equipment to keep you independent
  • direct you to other services that might help you.

Our occupational therapists are equipment specialists. We don’t sell any products, so you can try out the latest equipment and innovations at our Newton Abbot demonstration centre without any pressure to buy. We also give guidance and advice by phone or email.

Come and see us

From Monday to Friday you can book a one-to-one appointment at the centre; you will meet an occupational therapist and have time to try equipment and discuss your needs and get all the information you need to find equipment solutions.

We also have a drop-in session on Wednesday 10am-3pm where you can look around the centre and ask for advice; these sessions can get busy!

Visit us at Devon House, Brunel Industrial Estate, Newton Abbot TQ12 4PB

We’re open Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. See directions

Let us come to you
