What is EDEAS Connect?
EDEAS Connect is an amazing new resource hub which can be found on the Devon Education Services Shop. It’s a subscription only hub to access expert resources, guidance and community support for schools and settings and is fully funded for Devon maintained schools.
We will shortly also be offering academies and other settings a package to include consultancy and a subscription to EDEAS Connect. Please visit this page again or sign up to our EDEAS newsletter.
What information and guidance is on EDEAS Connect?
EDEAS wants EDEAS Connect to be a community hub, of like-minded education staff who aim to improve the lived experiences of the diverse children we all serve. This community is a place to access up to date guidance and support for ethnically diverse and multilingual children, as well as wider equality, diversity and inclusion support.
Good practice
From school feedback we understand it can be difficult for those championing support for ethnically diverse and multilingual children, as well as supporting wider equality, diversity and inclusion, to observe good practice in other schools.
We have a dedicated section on our landing page to highlight good practice examples and will continue to build on this each term.
If you would like to share an activity, task or action you have been working on in your school to improve the outcomes and wellbeing of these children then do contact EDEAS and we can share your good practice.

Why is EDEAS using EDEAS Connect?
This is a great question and something EDEAS has been developing for a while.
School feedback is really valuable to EDEAS and the feedback we received on our original webpages had some common themes:
- It is too hard to navigate
- There is so much valuable content on there, but it is difficult too find the information
- Schools have less time to read lengthy documents and want more precise information
- The original website was limiting the ability to build a community of like minded staff and share good practice
With this in mind EDEAS set to work to create a hub to support school staff to find the up to date information and resources they in a more accessible manner.
