Ordinarily Available Inclusive Provision (OAIP) describes the inclusive provision and practice that all Devon schools, early years, and post 16 settings should be able to provide for all children and young people, including those with SEND.
Ordinarily Available Targeted Support Frameworks
The Ordinarily Available Targeted Support Framework for the early years sets out the expected targeted provision which should be made available in mainstream settings for children aged 0-5 years who may have additional needs, including special educational needs.
Early Years Inclusion Consultations
Our virtual Early Years Inclusion Consultations offer a solution‑focused opportunity to discuss any questions or concerns relating to an individual child’s development, or to explore aspects of SEND practice and provision within your setting.
Meetings are held on a weekly basis, usually on a Wednesday afternoon, and each appointment will last up to thirty minutes.

Evening inclusion drop-in sessions for childminders
We are offering dedicated evening inclusion drop-in sessions for childminders once a month in each locality. These sessions provide a flexible opportunity for childminders who may find it difficult to attend daytime consultations. Please note that a separate booking system is used for childminder evening consultations, and details of how to book can be found via the relevant childminder booking links below.

All settings should seek parental permission prior to booking a slot, but there is no need to send the permission form to us; please keep for your records.
Early Years Single Request for Support (EYSRfS)
This a single route for accessing Early Years Inclusion support and funding, replacing the previous referral and request processes where providers needed to identify and access different services separately.
The key change is moving the focus from ‘Which service‘ to ‘What level of support is needed‘.
All requests for support will now come through the Early Years Single Request for Support (EYSRfS) process. Following submission, of the request for support form, requests will be considered through a triage process which will determine the most appropriate support pathway. These will be held weekly so that decision making can be sped up, and children, family and settings’ needs can be responded to in a timely way.
Request for home support
Request for home support from Families and Health professionals will continue to use the current Request for Support for families form.
Early Years providers will need to use the new Single Request for Support form for all requests, including support in the home through the Early Years Inclusion Team (EYIT)
