Woodwater Lane Consultation 2026
Following a previous consultation in 2020, Devon County Council have developed proposals to extend the residents parking restrictions to the Woodwater Lane area.
The council is now undertaking a further consultation on the detailed proposals to understand if residents still support the introduction of residential parking restrictions in the wider Woodwater Lane Area.
The proposal is to extend the existing Exeter Zone S7 (Rifford Road Area) to include the following roads:
- Aller Vale Close
- Beverely Close
- Carlton Road
- Holne Rise
- Whitchurch Avenue
- Woodwater Lane (odd nos. 67-107, even nos. 58-72)
The consultation
Why are we doing this?
These proposals have been set out following concerns of the lack of on-street parking for residents in several streets in and around the wider Woodwater Lane Area. The intention of this scheme is to ensure residents have priority over parking within their area. Resident parking schemes can improve parking availability for residents, reduce congestion during peak hours while ensuring local needs are considered such as local businesses and other employment hubs.
How should I respond?
The consultation for this resident parking proposal is to run from 5th March to 2nd April. Residents in the proposed area will receive information in the post with details of the consultation and how to respond. To complete your response, please click this link: online comments form
