SWGFL Broadband Charges Update
Posted on 21 November 2013 by financeschools-mailbox@devon.gov.uk
Following on from the post dated 13th November regarding broadband charges, it was confirmed this week that BT have increased their charges by just over 3.4% for the service which has resulted in a slightly higher than anticipated invoices from Scomis and SWGFL.
The pot of money that was put aside for the broadband subsidy was originally calculated to provide an 80% subsidy to schools and was calculated using a best estimate of the fees using last years data. Unfortunately, the increase in charges from BT of 3.4% in broadband charges for 2013/14 will need to be met from the school.
