Funding 41: Update Regarding Teachers’ Pay Grant Allocations

Please see the below link for the most recent information from the ESFA in relation to the Teachers’ Pay Grant, including the following update:

“We have become aware that there is a double-counting issue affecting pupil numbers in reception classes in the published teachers’ pay grant allocations. We apologise for any confusion this has caused.

This issue has not had a substantive effect on the distribution of the grant. Where minor discrepancies have occurred and schools have been allocated funding slightly below the correct level, we will provide further funding to bring them up to their correct allocation. All schools will receive at least the amounts indicated in the published tables and no school will lose out as a result.

Details of this additional funding will be provided shortly”.

Please note that while DCC is responsible for transferring the Teachers’ Pay Grant funding received from the ESFA to maintained schools, we were not involved in any of the calculations and are unable to provide additional information in respect of this.
