Broadband Subsidy 80% Allowance
Posted on 24 September 2013 by education.finance
During the summer holidays your school will have received a credit with the narrative “Broadband Subsidy 80% Allowance”. This credit is your school’s share of the broadband subsidy agreed by Devon Education Forum (DEF) for the financial year 1/4/13 to 31/3/14 financial year 2013-2014. It is based upon 80% of your total internet connectivity charges for 2013/2014 this period.
In the coming weeks your school will receive two invoices for this service.
- One invoice will be from Devon County Council (DCC) for 100% of the cost of this service for 5 months (1st April 2013 – 31st August 2013).
- The other invoice will be from South West Grid for Learning (SWGfL) for 100% of the cost of this service for 7 months (1st September 2013 – 31st March 2014).
This will result in your school only having to find the funds to pay for 20% of these charges as has been the case in previous years.
