We would like to make schools aware that incorrect information was included within the recent funding consultation and supporting materials relating to AnyComms+.

The consultation documentation and presentation slides provided by Devon County Council at the locality events incorrectly stated that AnyComms+ would form part of the proposed movement between funding blocks and/or the Central School Services Block (CSSB) ongoing responsibilities.

This was incorrect. The Department for Education has confirmed that this is not a permissible funding approach. As a result, AnyComms+ will not be funded through these arrangements. Instead, schools will be invoiced directly by Devon County Council for the service from 2026/27 onwards.

Whilst the method of funding method will change, the underlying principle remains the same. Schools will not be financially disadvantaged as a result of this change.
