Budget Preparation 36: Access Budgeting 2023/24 – New Financial Year

Access has informed us that the new Financial Year 2023/24 will soon be available for use in the Access Budgeting software. This is due for roll-out from the end of January 2023.

Once released, the new year will not yet have the base data loaded to it, as this will follow and be released prior to end of year closedown, more detail will follow regarding this.

Financial Year
You can switch between Financial Years via the Manage Budgets page, using the drop down menu in the top right-hand corner.

Scenarios
If you wish to bring a scenario forward from 2022/23 you have to be in the 2023/24 year and click Upgrade Scenario – where you will be presented with a drop-down list of your upgrade-able Scenarios.

Pupil Numbers
Please ensure that you check your pupil numbers are correct across each year group and in following financial years. When in the 2022/23 scenario, the pupil numbers can be accessed by clicking ‘Scenarios’ on the left hand side, then select ‘Pupil Numbers’ beneath the ‘Budget Planning’ heading.
