You will be aware that the Government has set up the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS) which enables employers to furlough staff during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Following the agreement last week by DCC’s Pandemic Incident Management Team to allow certain categories of maintained school staff to Furlough, the local authority Finance and HR teams have published some guidance documents on how to Furlough schools staff (click to view guidance) which takes account of the published ‘Corona virus (COVID-19) financial support for education, early years and children’s social care’ guidance from the DfE.
