Future Finance Project Update February 2025
In our last update, we mentioned that we were in the User Acceptance Testing phase and had a number of critical tasks to complete. These included testing all the functions of our Unit 4 configuration as well as testing the integration of services’ systems through the Interface Hub. These have been completed and we have now moved to the Go-Live Phase. We will be transitioning between FINEST and Unit 4 at the end of March, targeting opening our new system to users on Monday 7 April.
Schools work processes will substantially remain the same as today with some reports being accessible via the Power BI report (Maintained School Data – Support for schools and settings) at any time of the month as was previously shared.
As iTrent will be updating it’s cost codes there will be communication sent out shortly on the changes and how to find out what the new equivalent cost codes are.

| Wednesday 26th March | Last day to submit 2024/25 invoices to DCC for payment via SCRAPS/DTCS Apps. All submissions to be made by 4PM |
| Wednesday 26th March | Last day to submit 2024/25 claims for imprest accounts – during the Finest to Unit 4 migration no reimbursements are possible for Imprest account claims. Ensure you are up to date and that the account is back to the level of your float to allow March procurement card transactions. This will prevent your imprest bank account being overdrawn when the procurement card balance is charged to the account. All submissions to be made by 5PM |

| Thursday 27th March – Tuesday 1st April | Identify accruals to be included in 2024/25 as no payments are possible while data is being migrated from FINEST to Unit 4. There may be more than in previous years due to payments not being possible while DCC migrates to its new system. Please return your End of Year adjustments spreadsheet via the Finance Information Community in AnyComms and submit your Pre-populated form with your amendments via AnyComms by 1st April 2025 |
| Tuesday 31st March | Income received to this point will be in HeyCentric (DCC’s new income management system) will be allocated to FINEST in 2024/25. |
| Monday 7th April | Unit 4 is opened to all users |
