You will need
- A resonance board
- Wooden spoons, shakers, or drumsticks
What to do
- Place the resonance board on the floor.
- Have the learner sit or lie on the resonance board.
- Use the spoons, shakers, or drumsticks to tap out rhythms on the board.
- Take turns being the leader. The leader taps out a rhythm, and the other person copies it. You could use the phrases ‘My turn’ and ‘Your turn’ to lead this.
- Encourage the learner to make rhythms for you to copy.
