EDEAS have been working closely with schools, families, and other services to help refugees fleeing from Afghanistan by giving them the support they need to re-build their lives in the UK.
EDEAS can support newly arrived Afghan refugee children and their families by assisting with induction meetings, providing initial educational visits, conducting assessments and providing specialist EAL advisory consultations, support and training. We also provide in class and 1:1 bilingual or EAL support in schools.
Below you’ll also find some links to various resources on how to support Afghan refugees, from various courses and training on how to help children and young people through trauma to information about Afghan culture and other translated resources.
