Where does an anti-racism policy sit?
It could make part of your equality policy or it could be a stand-alone policy. The new NEU Anti-Racism Charter is an excellent resource to guide you through writing a policy and making your school anti-racist.
We have put together a template for primary and secondary schools which you could use but it is important that:
- you make it school relevant
- you have a group of pupils, parents and teachers who are involved in writing it
- it is shared with all staff and is available to download from your website
- it is updated regularly
Don’t forget to use our anti-racism guidance and advice for school:
