The Education Quality and Inclusion (EQI) Team works alongside schools, families and partner agencies to support children and young people to access and engage in their education. Locality-based teams provide early support, advice and signposting to schools where there are concerns about inclusion, attendance or engagement.
Through collaborative multi-agency working, we support schools to identify and address barriers at the earliest opportunity and develop strong inclusive approaches that enable children and young people to remain connected to learning and achieve positive outcomes. Our focus is on building capacity within schools, promoting effective early intervention and ensuring that every child and young person feels valued and included, can participate fully in school life, and has the opportunity to reach their potential and flourish.
