R&P Fees in 26/27 – Cheque Surcharge
The R&P subscription is currently under significant financial pressure. Bank charges relating to schools have been taking up an ever-increasing proportion of our subscription fees, with much of this relating to cheque banking.
We want to provide an economical service to our school customers and wish to avoid increasing our fees above inflationary rates.
As such, we have chosen to pass on cheque related cost directly, with a £3 charge per cheque.
These charges will start at the beginning of the 26/27 school year and be taken via internal recharges as and when cheques are processed.
Why a Usage Charge?
This approach avoids unfairly penalising schools that are chequeless and aren’t contributing to these pressures.
Likewise, it provides the opportunity for cheque users to change their working practices to minimise these fees.
We hope that in sending out this message with plenty of notice, it will allow schools the opportunity to phase cheques out/down in advance of the charges coming into place.
