Report standing water, flooding or blocked drains
Blocked drains
Devon has approximately 180,000 gullies. Our drainage features are cleaned as part of a cyclic programme.
To see when a drain was last inspected please use our interactive map. You will also be able to see how often the drain is inspected.
Flooding and standing water
If it’s an emergency and there is a danger to life as a result of flooding call 999.
If a river is flooding please contact the Environment Agency on 0345 988 1188.
Internal property flooding can be reported on our webpage.
We will take action:
- if standing water is present 24 hours after rain has stopped
- where there is a speed limit of 40mph or more in force
- where road users can reasonably travel at 40mph or above
Before you start
If you are reporting an emergency that is very likely to present an imminent threat to life or serious injury or serious damage to property please instead call 0345 155 1004.
We are currently dealing with a very high number of standing water reports. Please wait 24 hours after rain to report standing water.
Where a report already exists please add yourself to receive updates rather than logging a new report. This will help our inspection team to work as efficiently as possible.
