Where and when the work is happening.
The works are happening weeknights between Monday 5th October and Friday 6th November (19:00 – 07:00) 2026 on the A375 between Brook Close and Pound Close.

See below for a breakdown of works scheduled per week. Please note that works that take place on Saturday will finish by 07:00 in the morning.

*Planing is the process of removing the top layer of the road
What we are doing
Drainage
Following an extensive drainage survey conducted in March, drainage works will take place along the whole site. Our work includes the lining of pipes, the replacement of pipes and the renewal of gullies. This will help clear surface water from the carriageway to prevent flooding, pooling and icing.
Resurfacing
We will be carrying out resurfacing works along the entire length of the site to repair areas of worn road surface and keep the road safe and reliable for all road users.

Access
Access will be maintained for emergency vehicles. Access queries to individual properties should be directed to our gatemen on site who will be glad to assist. Delays may occur depending on where the contractor is working when you need to exit or access your property, as they must ensure it is safe to pass.
Parking
Vehicles must be removed from the road and must not overhang any part of the carriageway to ensure we can access the work area. Any vehicles left on the road may be towed.
Traffic Management
The works will be completed under road closures from 19:00 – 07.00. A signed diversion route will be in place to divert the traffic.
