You can find information about how long we keep different types of records – evidence of decisions and transactions – by using a keyword search.
You do not have to know our organisational structure or even which category they are under.
When you search you will find details of the type of record and a statement of how long they are kept for, from when and why, which will usually be an Act, a Regulation or our own decision.
Retention policies apply whether the records are electronic or paper and regardless of where they are stored.
