DCC Historic Environment Team is pleased to be supporting the Museum of Barnstaple and North Devon‘s Potted History Project: Potted History: Reviving a forgotten archaeological archive – News. Volunteers will work alongside the project archaeologist to record and analyse the finds from excavations carried out in the 1970s and 1980s, including three 17th-century pottery kilns that once fired ceramics destined for trade with the Americas, Wales, Ireland, and Canada.
More details will be available soon, and an update can be found on the North Devon District Council website.
