Stronger practice hubs – south west

The Department for Education’s Stronger Practice Hubs are up and running and in the Southwest.

The Hubs are led by Plym Bridge Nursery School and Day Care. Partners include Ham Drive Nursery School and Day Care, Children’s day nursery | The Cabin Childcare Centres and Becky’s Tiny Teddies.

The Early Years Stronger Practice Hub programme is funded for two years and is supported by both the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) and the National Children’s Bureau (NCB).

Early Years Stronger Practice Hubs support practitioners to adopt evidence-based improvements by:

  • establishing local networks of settings to share knowledge and effective practice
  • proactively sharing information and advice on evidence-based approaches
  • working with the EEF to select evidence-based programmes to fund and make available to settings
  • acting as a point of contact for bespoke advice, and signposting to other funded support.
