Children’s Centre Services
All Children’s Centres across Devon have continued with service delivery throughout the pandemic. The service has been adapted to meet the needs of children and families, by providing online interventions of all services but also continuing to provide face to face when needed. Service delivery hours have also been extended from 8am to 8pm to ensure the service is fully accessible. This has enabled families to continue to receive a high quality children’s centre service.
To refer into the Children’s Centre please complete the online referral form: https://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/DevonChildrensCentreReferralForm
Once your referral has been received a member of your local Children’s Centre team will be in contact to talk through your referral. We then make contact with the family and arrange to complete a Starting Assessment to determine which intervention is most suited to the needs of the child and family.
Action for Children is also offering free online parenting support for families with children aged 0-19. Parents can ask for help on all sorts of things – from how to keep children entertained at home, to how to handle difficult behaviour, to how to manage stress and anxiety at this challenging time.
Please go to parent-talk.org.uk/devon to read our advice and useful resources, or ‘talk’ directly to a parenting coach via our confidential 1-1 live chat which you can access through our Action for Children website – Support for Parents.
