New course on the importance of play – Saturday 8th July 2023

Facilitating Children’s Right to Play is a fully funded course provided by the Early Years and Childcare Service.

About:

The aim of the course is to explore in detail the key theories and legislation which underpins the importance of and need for providing the opportunity and space for children’s play, whilst considering the impact of the playworker on their play and the play space.

Participants will be given the opportunity to participate in activities which will underpin this knowledge and how this can then be transferred into their own setting.

This can be a stand-alone course for practitioners wanting to develop their knowledge and understand children’s play in more detail, or as a follow-on course for those who have already undertaken the 3 hour ‘Playtime’ course.

Who should attend?
