Scope of data

This is ‘Stats19’ data which relates to collisions on a public road involving personal injury that has been reported to/recorded by the police, as per data collection guidelines set nationally by Department for Transport. Please also see our Collision Data FAQs page.

Potential locational errors

If you think that a collision has been plotted incorrectly then please email us at collisiondata@devon.gov.uk. The locations are initially recorded by Devon & Cornwall Police, and we do apply our own additional validation checks that include scanning for plotting errors however we are unable to verify the location of every single collision record that we receive from the Police.
