Between Sunday 21 June and Saturday 4 July 2026 highway improvement works will be taking place on the A386 Tavistock, from the junction with Anderton Lane to the junction with Pitts Cleave Industrial Estate,
The work will include:
- Patching sections of the road
- Cleaning road signs
- Clearing overgrown vegetation
- Trimming hedges
These essential repairs will help restore the road surface and improve safety for all users.
When the work will take place
A386 Plymouth Road (Anderton Lane to Glenville Drive)
This section of road between Glenville and the supermarket traffic lights will be closed from Sunday 21 June to Monday 22 June 2026 from 4:30pm to 2am.
Temporary traffic lights will be installed on the road from Anderton Lane junction to the supermarket traffic lights from Sunday 21 June 4pm to Monday 21 June 4pm. The temporary traffic lights will be removed during the morning rush hour.
A386 Parkwood Road (Abbey Bridge Roundabout to Pitts Cleave Industrial Estate)
This section of road will be close from Monday 29 June to Saturday 4 July 2026 from 7pm to 6am
Temporary traffic lights
From Sunday 21 June to Saturday 4 July 2026, temporary traffic lights will be in place on sections of the A386 between:
- Buzzard Road junction, and
- B3357 Mount Tavy Road junction
This will allow the work to be carried out safely while keeping traffic moving.
