Devon County Council will be carrying out resurfacing, patching, hedge cutting and drainage surveying works on the A373, from Godford Cross to Oak Close, Broadhembury.
The highway requires maintenance and these essential repairs will help restore the surface and improve safety.
The works will be carried out under a combination of daytime works under stop/go traffic management, and nighttime closures in three sections.
Day works: Monday 12 – Friday 23 January (weekdays only)
During the day we will be carrying out hedge cutting and drainage surveying works. The road will remain open using a Stop/Go traffic management system. Delays should be expected.
Night works: Monday 19 January – Saturday 14 February (weeknights only)
We will be resurfacing and patching the road in three sections. Our working hours are 7pm – 6am. The section of the road where we are working will be fully closed.
- Section 1. From Monday 19 January – Tuesday 27 January we will be working from Godford Cross to Hembury Fort Cross. This is shown in orange with triangles on the map below.
- Section 2. From Tuesday 27 January – Friday 30 January we will be working from Hembury Fort Cross to Colliton Cross. This is shown in blue with circles on the map below.
- Section 3. From Monday 2 February – Saturday 14 February we will be working from Colliton Cross to Oak Close. This is shown in pink with crosses on the map below.
