Daily or weekly trade permits and parking waivers

Daily or weekly trade permits are paperless permits which can be bought on the day they are required. Subject to availability they allow the holder to park in resident permit only or limited waiting spaces or pay and display spaces if that is the only other option on the road where work is taking place.

If there are no permits available for your chosen location and dates you will be informed at time of application that none are available and unable to proceed. If your application is allowed, on submission your permit will automatically be authorised for the dates and location requested.

Parking waiver permits can be bought for a day or week and are also paperless but must be bought at least 48 hours ahead of time. Subject to availability they allow an exemption to use yellow lines or park in pedestrian or restricted areas where there are no restrictions on loading or unloading.

If there are no permits available for your chosen location and dates you will be informed at time of application that none are available and unable to proceed. If the application is allowed you will be notified by email if your application has been approved or rejected.

Should any of the parking space types listed above for trade permit users become available whilst working on site, a waiver permit also allows the vehicle to be parked in any of those as well. Please use a parking space whenever possible.

Apply for a daily or weekly trade permit

A daily trade permit costs £5 and a weekly permit costs £25. A daily parking waiver costs £10 and a weekly one £30. There is a basket function to add additional days or weeks if you need more than a single day or week.

Payment by credit or debit card must be made at the time of applying. If we are unable to approve your application, you will be notified as soon as possible and you will be refunded automatically. Refunds may take up to three working days before showing in the card account used.

Before you apply, please read our trade permits and parking waivers terms and conditions of use. You can also read our step-by-step guide to the new application process for daily and weekly permits.

You will have the option to set up an account to ease future applications. Account holders are able to save vehicle details, save card numbers, and make real-time changes to use a single permit more flexibly, for example, to defer an upcoming start date if the job is delayed or use the permit with one vehicle registration number on-site in the morning, and a different one in the afternoon or on different days if using weekly permits.
