Free resources for practitioners from the Child Bereavement Network

Last week was Childrens Grief Awareness Week.

This year, the Childhood Bereavement Networks theme is ‘The Shape of Your Support’. They are focusing on the people around a bereaved child or young person (beyond their friends or family) that can be there to support them through their grief.

Bereaved children and young people around the UK have completed Sharing Shapes, artwork inspired by the people around them who they can turn to for help and advice. Some of these shapes have been used to create a mural of support; the picture below is of last year’s mural.

You can make your own local version of a mural – the free resource pack is still available on the Childhood Bereavement Network’s website.

We would love to see what you have created, contact your Early Years and Childcare Adviser if you have photos that we can share.
