Training
Flourish
Flourish’s Click eLearning platform streamlines access to excellent, free online training featuring over 130 online courses, including all mandatory training. Devon County Council have partnered with Flourish to provide part funded social care courses for all adult care providers in their catchment area. This has just been extended to 31st March 2026.
Devon’s local authority have purchased access to the ‘Click’ platform and all of its courses to allow your organisation to develop your staff’s learning. ‘Click’ can be accessed for £1 per learner, per month, plus VAT, specifically for our Adult Social Care online course bundle. This is subsidised by Devon County Council who will be covering two thirds of the cost of ‘Click’. HIVE
HIVE provides access to 100s of digital, virtual, and classroom training sessions. For care homes throughout Torbay and South Devon have free access to the HIVE.
Adult Social Care Workforce Dataset and Learning Development Support Scheme
The Adult Social Care Workforce (ASC-WDS) is an essential online data collection service that covers the adult social care workforce in England, with around 20,000 care providers using it. The data collected is vital to the Government, the Department of Health and Social Care, local authorities and the Care Quality Commission as it allows them to plan, fund and monitor the sector.

ASC Employers Can Claim Up to £2,035 Per Learner with Learning and Development Support Scheme
For the 2025 to 2026 period, ASC employers can take advantage of this reimbursement by submitting claims for eligible training costs.

Safeguarding
Torbay and Devon Safeguarding Adults Partnership offer eLearning on Level 1: Awareness of Safeguarding Adults, Level 1: Awareness of Mental Capacity Act, Level 1 Domestic Abuse Awareness and Level 2 Domestic Abuse Awareness.
Online and in person training for full sessions and refresher training in Level 2 Provider Services: Mental Capacity Act and Level 2 Provider Services: Responding to Safeguarding Adult Concerns.
Apprenticeship Levy
Devon County Council can transfer apprenticeship levy funds to other employers in Devon. You can use this fund for apprenticeships for your staff to help develop your workforce. This includes new apprentices or existing employees.
Community Education Assurance Team
Free education sessions available to care settings and providers in North, Mid, East Devon and Exeter. Education is provided with sessions offered to complement the existing training already provided by the care setting or provider, and adapted to meet the needs of those attending.
Topics include: falls prevention & awareness, Pressure Ulcer, Restore2, Sepsis, Nutrition and Hydration
Oral Health
The oral health improvement team are offering Free training. They provide training to care workers responsible for the oral health of adults. Training takes 1-2½ hours (bespoke to suit your needs) Tooth brushing demos provided, CPD certificates are issued upon completion, contact the team to find out more information and book your training session. Strengths Based Approach
The pilot programme of the provider strengths-based approach has been developed as eLearning and webinars. The interactive 1-hour webinars included learning, discussions and engaging activities, including sessions on; Goal setting and outcomes, Continuous supervision and 247 grid, Path planning. eLearning covered information, resources and videos with modules on the Care Act, TECS, Goal setting and outcomes and 247 grid, Path planning.
