There are a number of key communications being issued about Brexit and the associated preparations. This page has been compiled to help providers in preparing for Brexit and it will be updated as the Brexit process progresses.
10th October 2019
This week the Department of Health and Social Care has written an open letter to providers of adult social care services. The letter provides an update on DHSC’s preparations for an EU exit for the adult social care sector and includes a list of practical actions which providers can take ahead of 31st October.
The information covers key areas including the continuity of supply of critical goods and services, workforce. A dedicated National Supply Disruption Response centre has also been established and a further Government communication on how providers can access it is expected shortly.

The government has released a toolkit for employers to raise awareness and encourage access to the EU settlement scheme.
If you have staff who are non-UK EU nationals and they have yet to apply, please encourage them to do so.
16th August 2019
The government has now created a web page specifically for providers of adult social care to inform them in preparations for ‘No Deal’ Brexit.
They also encourage providers of adult social care to sign up to email updates.
