Using community equipment safely

Provider staff must immediately notify a Health or Social Care professional, where they may be needing to use items of equipment with a client, in a manner for which it was not designed. Do not put excessive force on items of community equipment, or use it in any way which would put the client’s or carer’s safety at risk.
