MPS: community equipment, minor adaptations and TECS
The service is provided by Millbrook Healthcare Ltd to people of all ages in a community setting with an assessed health or social care need, residing within the Devon County Council boundary (excludes Plymouth and Torbay) for those with health or social care needs for all service elements. In addition, the service provides community equipment for those with health needs who reside outside of the DCC boundary, but who are registered with an NHS Devon GP.
The service includes delivery and installation, servicing and maintenance, and collection of equipment and TECS that has been ordered by an authorised health or social care prescriber. The service also undertakes minor adaptations up to £1,000 to people’s homes.
The service is supported by the Devon Independent Living Centre (DILIS), provided by Northern Devon Healthcare Trust, who runs a centre in Newton Abbot where the public can receive advice on equipment and TECS and try out a wide variety of items.
