About us

Proud to Care Devon was established in 2014 as part of Devon County Council’s plan to aid recruitment and retention in the care sector. It has grown steadily and since 2018 attracts job seekers to jobs, careers and education in health and care.

The Proud to Care website provides information for people considering a career in care and health, training and education, real stories, film clips and a FREE Jobs Board for providers to advertise all their vacancies in the sector throughout Devon. It is very quick and easy to register for and use the Jobs Board. If you would like some help and guidance then please do contact us and we’ll be happy to help. Proud to Care Events such as online jobs fairs and Sector Work Academy Programmes are also listed.

Attracting people to jobs and training in adult social care: New Campaign- September to January

Proud to Care Devon is continuing to offer a free recruitment service to care providers across Devon, matching candidates to your vacancies.

Our next Proud to Care recruitment campaign will run from mid-September until January 2022 and aims to attract people to entry-level roles in care. Jobseekers may access free training via the European Social Fund Health and Social Care Skills Accelerator Programme. This training includes an introduction of health and social care, employability courses to support candidates back to work up to Level 3 qualifications. This free training is available to people wanting to start a career in care, as well as those already working in the sector, aiming to improve both recruitment and retention. Our new Training and Education page shows a wide range of training possibilities.

Our Proud to Care adverts, including films, feature a range of care and support workers in domiciliary care, care homes, and day services in Devon. These front-line workers are passionate about their role and aim to inspire others to join the care sector. Look out for our Proud to Care adverts on Google, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram.

When potential candidates register their interest on our website, the Proud to Care Recruitment Team will undertake a screening call to find out about their values, work and life experience, and assess their suitability to work in care. We will then be sending suitable candidates to care providers to progress through your own recruitment process.

To benefit from this free service, please upload your current vacancies to our Proud to Care jobs board. This is a self-service jobs board where you can advertise all your vacancies in care and health.
