Do it for working with families to keep children safe

The Assessment and Intervention (A&I) team conducts initial investigations, single assessments, and brief interventions with families to determine the appropriate plan for a child before transferring them. After completing these steps, a meeting will be arranged with the relevant service to facilitate the handover along with an identified plan. These plans may include an Early Help plan, a Child in Need plan, a Child Protection plan, or a Child in Care plan.

We receive referrals from our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub. The Assessment and Intervention (A&I) team conducts assessments, including Child in Need plans, Child Protection inquiries, and evaluations for children at immediate risk. Our goal is to make timely interventions for children and their families, ensuring they receive the appropriate services from the right team at the right time. The team collaborates closely with colleagues to maintain service continuity and prevent family breakdowns whenever possible.
