Senior Traffic Technicians (Traffic Orders, Policy, and Programme)

Devon County Council are seeking two enthusiastic and inspirational people to join its Traffic Orders, Policy, and Programme Team.
The team provides a high profile County wide service, and delivers traffic schemes, ranging from speed and parking management schemes, to maintenance of signs, lines and road studs, to an approximate value of £2m per annum. These include the design and implementation of all key traffic management interventions, processing all Traffic Regulation Orders for the Authority, maintenance of signing and lining, and taking a lead role on Policy Matters.
Our Engineering Teams design, commission and monitor large and small projects across the County including major roads, bridges, recycling centres and cycle routes which are crucial to the future environmental and economic wellbeing of Devon.
Our waste management team ensure that current waste is managed and where possible recycled whilst seeking to reduce future waste generation through education and communication initiatives
We have a highly regarded approved graduate engineering scheme as well as well as attractive career pathways at all levels.
Our award winning apprenticeships give opportunities for career development to school/college leavers and those seeking career change.
