Displaced Care Worker Process
- Providers looking to recruit migrant care workers must first attempt to recruit from the pool of displaced care workers
- Provider to email Regional Mailbox commissioning.swadass@swcouncils.gov.uk
- Provider completes “Provider Contact & Job Vacancy Form” which is logged on the UKVI database
- Devon Alliance send provider contact details to suitable displaced care workers
- Care workers make contact with provider and send CV
- Provider selects candidates for interview and offers made
- Informs Devon Alliance to fast-track CoS request
- Undefined CoS assigned to Care Workers
- If no suitable candidates, inform Devon Alliance so provider can recruit via other routes

Invitation to Provider Session – Redeployment Pool Process
As you may be aware, new immigration rules came into effect on 9th April 2025. Under these regulations, any provider looking to fill a vacancy and sponsor an individual must first attempt to recruit a worker from the redeployment pool.
Since this date, the South West region has been implementing and refining this process, which is detailed in the attached document. As we continue to navigate and gain experience with the system, adjustments have been made, including the addition of timescales, to give you a clearer understanding of the expected duration of each stage.
We would like to invite you to a session where we will walk through the redeployment process, answer any questions you may have, and gather your thoughts on potential improvements. Please note that we will not be able to offer any immigration advice on this call.
