1. BLRF Bid Update

KD updated on the latest BLRF announcement made in terms of Devon wasn’t as great as previous rounds for Devon partners only Exeter was successful.

The partnership received applications from North Devon, Teignbridge and Torbay who were all unsuccessful. We are keen to speak to these partners whose applications weren’t successful to help them with any future bids. Applicants to contact KD.

The next step is to wait for the budget next week and the OPE team hope there will be a new round of BLRF funding released which will hopefully be launched soon.

PB hoped that £50 million will be available in funding.

2. OPE Co-location bid update/ consultation

KD shared an update with the group.

DCC on behalf of the partnership has undertaken a tendering process, and have successfully shortlisted a consultant (subject to final checks).

KD shared the list of projects that has been agreed by the partnership.

Ilfracombe –  A significant regeneration opportunity between local / county councils  police and NHS buildings.

Torridge district council – there are considerable public sector buildings opportunities across Bideford.

DCC are currently looking at the family hubs model and different approaches.

KD has organised a meeting in reference to Totnes and opportunities with the police.

DC from Torbay provided an update on their main civic building.  They are currently looking at what they can do long term through the project with a selection of partners.

PB shared that the council may be able to accommodate the job centre in a few years when their lease is due for renewal, and it may be worth looking at other job centres throughout the county.

AH provided an update on East Devon’s Depot’s review. She explained that they are currently looking at operations depots plus recycling and waste.

TC then provided an update on corporate offices. He explained that there are a large number of empty office workspaces in Exmouth and they are currently looking at an accommodation review and looking at opportunities for other partners to use the building.

3. Mat Chetwynd / Best Practice Learning Visits

As part of the successful colocation bid – a proportion of the funding had been set aside for Bet practise visits – which the NHS were leading on.

Pressures across primary care is extremely high and there is a challenges around  capacity.

A visit was arranged of a cohort of 24 people to carry out 2/3 hub visits where we can showcase good practice.

NHS and partner visits will allow Devon Public sector bodies to consider key opportunities nationally and how they can fit across the county.

4. Any Other Business

No additional items were raised during the meeting.
