Agri-Events

Devon County Council has been commissioned by four districts to deliver the Agri-Events programme:

The UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) Agri-Events series focuses on support and engaging farmers locally and developing the Agri-tech Alliance.

Local events are planned in each of the four districts with farmers and agriculture at the heart of the conversation. Each workshop will have a focus most relevant to the respective district and will be selected based on feedback from the farming community alongside research and consultation which was conducted to establish the needs of farmers in terms of agri-tech and innovation, where there were gaps in business support or knowledge exchange and specific challenges and opportunities identified within the sector. The topics covered in our events programme include, but are not limited to:

  • Diversification;
  • Routes to market;
  • Sustainable practices;
  • Conservation;
  • and Energy Saving.

Each workshop will take on its own unique form, however, we will be hearing directly from:

  • Farmers about their lived experience;
  • Researchers with academic and ground trooped data;
  • Current and future funding opportunities;
  • Innovative case studies;
  • Programmes of support and peer to peer networking.

These workshops will be interactive, create a space for open discussion and be action focused, ensuring attendees depart with useful resources and contacts. And there will always be refreshments and food!

Please feel free to complete the registration form to be contacted regarding upcoming events as we release our plans for Mid Devon, East Devon, West Devon and South Hams on Eventbrite up until March 2025.

Follow us on Eventbrite for further information on our upcoming events!

UK Shared Prosperity Fund

The £2.6 billion UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), which succeeds the old EU structural funds will go straight to local places across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland to invest in three local priorities: communities and place, support for local businesses and people and skills.

The fund has been allocated on a localised level to each of the districts in Devon. Devon is a two-tier structure, with a County Council as well as 8 district councils. This funding has been allocated on a very localised level in attempt to have area specific support relevant to each district.
