- Student 1 completed work experience during year 11 and 12 of college within No Limits Café. This focused on customer service skills, how to operate a till, barista, kitchen and table service. With a real focus on soft skills of professional style communication, managing sensory challenges in the environment and developing strategies for mainstream employment.
- He carried out a supported internship at No Limits Café in year 13 with Eat That Frog, post 16 provision (this included a top-up maths, English & employability skills course)
- After his supported internship at No Limits Café, he wanted to explore mainstream work.
- No Limits café supported him and they found via South Devon College, a level 2 customer service practitioner supported apprenticeship opportunity, with heritage railways.
- In January 2024 he secured paid employment at the railway having achieved a distinction in his apprenticeship.
