The Health and Safety Team

The Health and Safety Team is small, dedicated and supportive advisory team of NEBOSH Diploma qualified health and safety professional providing a strategic lead on H&S policy, topic specific arrangements and training.
The team looks after all DCC employees, as well as over 400 schools and academies, 65 tenanted farms, 19 recycling centres, residential homes and day centres, and country parks.
No two days are ever the same and you could find yourself carrying out a range of tasks including; auditing, premise inspections, responding to emergencies and investigating accidents, designing and delivering training or providing interpretation of H&S legislation and support to manager, headteachers or whole teams.
Whilst our Advisers have clearly defined areas of H&S specialisms and are provide with opportunities to expand their knowledge through continuing professional development (CPD), they work within a supportive team where the sharing of expertise is essential.
