Welcome to our new Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) programme

We have made significant changes to our ASYE programme including extending it to a two-year supported programme. We understand that personalised extended support is crucial in helping you navigate the challenges ahead and equip you with the necessary skills to manage the practical and emotional complexities you will face in the first two years of practice. This extended support is designed to provide you with a sense of security and reassurance as you embark on your professional journey.

Here at Devon County Council (DCC), we provide a bespoke ASYE programme dedicated to your individual learning and development needs. We will support you throughout your transition from NQSW to an experienced social worker, which we recognise can be daunting and feel like a giant leap. We even tailor opportunities depending on your starting point, accounting for previous experience and acknowledging your progress and development throughout the programme.

Please note that this programme does not offer sponsorship. If you are applying from overseas, you must provide evidence of your right to work and stay in the UK.
