Working in Performance, Supplier Management and Support

The Performance, Supplier Management, and Support team span apprentices leaving college to experienced IT professionals. We have expertise in many areas. These include supporting the adoption of IT and digital technologies, project management, contract, and supplier performance, and managing physical infrastructure and cloud services. Collectively we are passionate about delivering high-performing, modern services to people while ensuring value for money for the organisation.

Within the team, we pride ourselves on successfully delivering new solutions while ensuring our existing technology works well. We have a team of skilled project managers, who can call on the expertise of our digital adoption and change professionals. Among other specialists, we also have experts in a variety of technologies, from managing the line of business applications, Microsoft 365 technologies, data and intelligence services, hardware services, networking, firewalls, server infrastructure, and virtualisation…it’s a long list!

Our values and ways of working

Recently, our Software as a Service team had to rapidly develop a system to manage Devon County Council’s response to the ‘Homes for Ukraine’ initiative. We had to ensure the organisation was supporting the provision of safe accommodation to support people seeking refuge from the conflict in Ukraine. We love getting involved with these sorts of challenges, providing a rapid response while making a difference where it is needed most for Devon.

With such a broad range of services to cover, there are always new things to motivate our diverse team. Our passions include helping the Council’s employees to develop confidence using our digital and technology services. We also thrive on the responsibility of ensuring the Council’s employees have modern devices and services needed to get on with their jobs. Our project managers are passionate about managing transformational change, and meeting the needs of users through the delivery of successful technology projects.
