Preparing to be a Childminder course:
The Early Years and Childcare Service run a “Preparing to be a Childminder” course which provides you with the skills and knowledge to start your new career as a childminder, including setting yourself up as a business.
The course comprises of eLearning modules plus two morning sessions with a tutor (through Microsoft Teams).
(course also available as an eLearning course for those with previous experience)
Next course dates: Thursday 1st and Thursday 22nd February 2024 (9.45am – 1pm)
Course cost: £25.
Start up grants:
If you become an Ofsted registered childminder you can receive a £600 start up grant from the Government. If you register with an agency, the grant increases up to £1200!
