Current career opportunities:
Service Lead: Early Years
This is a senior management position responsible for operational service delivery. Working with the Head of Education Quality & Inclusion to ensure the educational and developmental needs of all children aged 0 – 5 years are met, within a geographical area, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Service Lead: SEND Operations
This is a senior management position responsible for operational service delivery. Working directly with the Head of SEND Operations to ensure that the Council meets its statutory duties in relation to children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), as set out in the Children & Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice 2015.
Service Lead: Access to Education:
This is a senior management position responsible for education sufficiency and place planning and policy development and implementation across Devon. Working with the Head of Strategy and Central Operations to ensure that both an effective strategic framework in place around the authority’ statutory educational functions in respect of sufficiency 0-25 including a fully traded School Admissions function. The post holder will lead delivering core advice and support to our schools and wider educational partners and settings, the post holder will take a lead on setting the policy framework for critical areas of statutory compliance and joint working covering all aspect of education sufficiency and access to school provision.
