Do it for the community that trusts you
Our Contracts and Procurement Law team play a key role in shaping how we deliver contracts and procurements across Devon County Council. We provide expert legal advice and guidance across a wide range of contractual and commercial arrangements and support major projects that help the Council to achieve its strategic objectives whilst delivering value for money and robust governance for the people of Devon.
We support the drafting, negotiation, and review of contracts including those for goods, services, and works, grant agreements and collaboration agreements, ensuring compliance with procurement legislation and the Council’s governance framework. This includes advising on procurement processes, contract variations supporting major projects and commissioning arrangements, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and risk management to safeguard public funds.
Our team also works closely with service areas to help develop robust procurement strategies, manage supplier relationships, and ensure that contractual obligations are met. By embedding legal compliance and best practice into every stage of the procurement cycle, we help deliver high-quality services and long-term value for Devon’s communities.
